Day 2 - Go Daddy, or Go home - creating the brand identity

Whilst in the creative mode of Christmas when innovation and direction come together, the brand identity was formed simply by pouring thoughts, time and information into a Shopify website. As I researched the further in to the project concept it was very clear that building a brand is important and a logical snappy .com domain is essential so with 3 domain names in discussion offers where made. 

TIP: When purchasing premium domains always engage directly with the seller to negotiate pricing as domain owners usually buy cheap and hold for months, if not years, GoDaddy is the primary location for all my domain needs and once I'd decided on the domain I really liked I put the 'brand / url naming' through a free logo creator to see how it looked and resonated... once 100% I used a sales agent to negotiate pricing.

I concluded the price with GoDaddy today for TravelWorkPlay.com at $1000, which was paid for using CRO Crypto currency as this had seen a significant upside of 44% over the term and had rallied in the week as entered 2024. CRO crypto currency was converted in to USD, sent to Crypto.com credit card and then transaction was made. Super Simple, and skimmed cash out before a 20% dump on stock the very next day.

With the website web concept ready on Shopify, we are now waiting for GoDaddy to allocate the purchased domain so we can activate the domain to website. - 3 days for cleared funds - ((annoying delay)), patience.

Creating a brand...

Branding

When you look at your core, reflect on who you are and how you work I've come to the conclusion and without any apologies that we all unique in our personal construction and defined by the interactions with the world, a blueprint of uniqueness.

So when launching a project based on your own life experiences leaning on your own life skills 'branding' and 'identity' can be a real challenge as we only know what 'we' look like in the mirror, not how the world sees us... however, here goes.

  • IDENTITY - fresh, clean around three topics 
  • LOGO - words / on emotional backgrounds.
  • DESIGN - simplicity / content rich with fundamental pillars 
  • STRATEGY - Travel destinations, work challenges, play for good.
  • MARKETING - Leverage brands, social media and the community.

The objective is to see if we can do what we love which is Travel.Work.Play in a way that creates more value in 12 months than I've created in 30 years simply based on experience, evolution of tools and through documentation and the power of 'share'.

 So here we begin, with a Shopify Website ready for the domain to be allocated, some initial site structure, story, outline of the challenge and what appears to be an endless journey which will last a minimum of 365 days... please be introduced to Travel.Work.Play.com
