Day 3 - Accessing Consumer Channels

Day 3 - Accessing Consumer Channels

As I'm expecting to build Print on Demand, Dropship sites and invest in stock for selling to consumers I wanted to start the process of creating accounts and activating channels where stock can flow and reach large consumer bases.

The most popular online sales platforms for selling products:

  1. Shopify: Offers customizable online stores and a comprehensive suite of tools for e-commerce.
  2. Amazon: Marketplace.
  3. Walmart Marketplace: Allows third-party sellers to reach a broad customer base through the Walmart website.
  4. Newegg: Focuses on electronics, allowing sellers to market computer hardware, gadgets, and more.
  5. Rakuten (formerly Buy.com): A marketplace with a wide array of products ranging from electronics to fashion.
  6. Bonanza: Provides a user-friendly platform for sellers to offer unique items and crafts.
  7. Jet.com: Acquired by Walmart, it targets urban and millennial shoppers, emphasizing competitive pricing.
  8. Alibaba/AliExpress: A global platform connecting buyers and sellers, with AliExpress catering to smaller quantities for international buyers.
  9. Facebook Marketplace: Utilizes the social network's reach for local selling, connecting buyers and sellers in a community-based marketplace.
  10. Etsy: Specializes in handmade, vintage, and craft items, catering to a niche market.
  11. Zibbet: A platform for artists, crafters, and vintage sellers to showcase their work and connect with buyers.

Each platform offers distinct advantages and targets different demographics, allowing sellers to diversify their online presence and reach a broader audience.
